В recent pooled analysis of BRUIN CLL-313 and BRUIN CLL-314, researchers presented the results of pirtobrutinib in previously untreated chronic lymphocytic leukemia/small lymphocytic lymphoma (CLL/SLL) patients.
The pooled analysis demonstrated a high overall response rate (ORR) of 87% with pirtobrutinib, with 55% of patients achieving a complete response (CR). The median duration of response was 18.3 months, and the median progression-free survival (PFS) was 24.9 months.
According to experts, these results suggest that pirtobrutinib is a promising treatment option for patients with previously untreated CLL/SLL. The high ORR and durable responses observed in this analysis support the use of pirtobrutinib as a first-line therapy for these patients.
Based on these findings, clinicians may consider pirtobrutinib as a treatment option for patients with previously untreated CLL/SLL, particularly those who are elderly or have comorbidities. Further studies are needed to confirm these results and explore the long-term efficacy and safety of pirtobrutinib in this patient population.
